Leadership - Propelling Performance through People

  Roger Lane CBE FCMI

Roger is the founder of the Company. He has over 30 years of experience of leadership and teamwork, gained with the Royal Marines and more widely through NATO.  Most recently he had responsibility for 12000 people from 36 nations in Afghanistan, a significant cultural leadership challenge.

He is also the CEO of Jaroge Ltd, a company specialising in the development of intelligent checklists and decision support tools for the healthcare industry.

He is an accredited TMSDI and PRISM profiler, which supports his coaching practice, and is a qualifed NLP Premier Practitioner Coach.  Collectively, these provide a range of tools to help individuals and organisations boost their performance.

He has direct experience of leading large, multicultural teams and experience of developing programmes to align people to new visions and missions, as well making cultural changes and new working practices. He draws upon his experiences of living in the US, Canada, Italy and Malta to inform his cultural outlook, sharpened by 13 months in Afghanistan and other Middle East countries.

He has extensive experience of leadership in crises, whether it be negotiating the peaceful resolution of a prison riot in Kabul, the consequence management of fatal flying accidents, or individuals facing personal confidence crises that he has restored.

Roger likes to work closely with clients and brings fresh and focused insights to illuminate their issues with a different perspective. As a former Director of the UK's top defence development programme for operational commanders and mentor for senior NATO commanders, he blends this experience with top-quality interventions to meet the complex demands of modern business.

He is the recipient of a number of awards, including an OBE, CBE and 2 Mentions in Despatch. He has also been honoured by the US with a Bronze Star, by the Italians with a Commendatore in their Order of Merit, and by the President of Afghanistan.  Collectively, this reflects the performance of his teams.
